Nvidia unveils graphics card 4Gb RAM
The professional graphics card more powerful in the world. So Nvidia defines its new Quadro FX 5800, which replaces the 5600 model at the top of its line of graphics solutions for workstations. Based on the GT200 GPU, the same cards that equips consumer high-end GeForce GTX280 and GTX260), the FX 5800 has 240 stream processors, a fill-rate of 52 billion texel / s, and a memory bus with 128-bit capable of providing a bandwidth of 102 GB / s. The memory type used is GDDR3 and runs at a clock at 800 MHz 4 GB of memory that fitted the new framework to produce a large amount of data and high resolution images.
Compatible with the Cuda platform, the FX 5800 can be used not only for rendering 3D graphics, but also to speed up various kinds of scientific and technical applications.
Compared to the GeForce GTX280, whose thermal design power is about 235 watts, Nvidia has managed to reduce the absorption of the energy profile professional, bringing to just below 190 watts.
Among the first manufacturers to offer graphics solutions based on the FX 5800 are Leadtek, Elsa, and PNY.
